Did anyone else see or hear about that two part Sci-Fi thing called Supernova? Was really looking forward to it, as it looked really good on the ads, but then I went and read the limited bit of info on the guide and decided against it...
It said that scientists had discovered that the Sun was going to explode, and so the brightest minds on Earth had seven days to prevent the Sun from going boom.
Anyone else see some glaring errors in that?

Umm right firstly Earth would exist as the sun would become a Red Giant first and would probably swallow earth, of course by that time Earth would be inhospitable as the sun would have alread as the sun would have increased in size before that and mucked up the whole planet's climate, also it's unlikely that the sun will go "boom" as it's not big enough to implode with sufficiant energy to explode, instead it will become a white dwarf (I think it's white dwarf correct me if I'm wrong)

All very true. But my first questions were
1. How on Earth they are going to stop a supernova?!
2. You'd get a lot more warning than seven days, don't you think?

Oh dear, Steven H. Berman and Don Keith Opper realyl need to check a few things and do a re-write, I think!
On IMDb there is a Supernova 'goofs' page, but the only one listed is:

Errors in geography: When Prof Austin escapes to the beach hut in the Maldives, we see in the background a very large mountain. The Maldives are flat, with the highest point above sea level about 2.4 metres (8ft)
